Moving..

Wow.. no posts for awhile.. this is a crazy life we live. The house sold in 10 days. no pictures on this post.. I am busy packing...running trailers from house to storage unit.. .. then packing.. yelling at the kids to quit complaining and help.. The Elders have been awsome and have helped with several loads to the Storage unit......This has been a rush to get everything into a storage unit because we will be homeless for a few weeks. We are going to rent in Las Cruces NM. it is about 30 min from Elpaso tx and shawn will commute.. He has been commuting 8 hours every month to see us ...so this will be a shorter commute and he,ll get to see us more often. We are wanting to do a Forclosed, or Bank Owned home and try to make some money on this house.. with the market being a little slow and rates down the buying should be to our advantage. The selling part .............We hope the market will be on a upswing. ..................and I would love to say when all is done that I made money... Well I will welcome all of you to come and visit soon as we have a roof over our head. .. Which I hope wont take to long.. You can come visit us in a rental.... we hope that you will continue to keep in contact with us... even though we are farther away.....

TEXAS.........NEW MEXICO????? Well we do know we are moving to be nearer the husband....Dad..... !!!! Home is the roof over your head.. to bad I cant take great friends and Great family with me whenver I move. That is the hardest part for me. I Love my family and this move will move us farther away. Luckily my kids come with me... they are being great about the whole thing.. I think they miss their Dad and 2 1/2 years I think is enough time away from him.. We hope we will be back to this area someday this has been a great place.. We love 0ur ward.. We love the Ski mountains.. We love the the military paying for all the great medical we get.. ohh yeah we'll get that part where we are going.. ok so enough sentimental.. havent posted lately.... just been busily getting things ready.. but thought a update as to what we are doing was in order..

SNOW SNOW SNOW...... and loving it..

Well I really have been sad that we have has such a crappy winter... not hardly a drop of snow.. Well with shawn here for the week we are getting in some much needed family ski time (ha ha)..actually with season passes in tow we had frequented Loveland ski hill.. Its been awsome we have also made 3 trips to monarch since we get 3 free with our loveland ski passes.. Wow if I had known we would of done this sooner.. Karch and mckenna have decided they dont like it.. but I after 22 years am loving it.. and I am quite AWSOME ... Shawn is getting better with every trip but since the kids and I can go more often he has to do some catch up. Cameron is snowboarding never had a lesson and is tearing up the mountain like a pro.... logan has had several lessons and now skiis with mom and Dad and is totally doing parallell.. or french fry as they now call it for the kids.. He is sooo fast and his last lesson he was skiing with 14 yr old kids and he was quite proud of that. We took a trip to loveland and its 2 hours away but we stayed the night in a hotel and it was a blast.. even though as you can see the weather was a bit snowy and the powder in some areas ... lets say up to our knees.. augh.. but we prevailed and got a awsome leg, stomach, back end work out.. trailing through the snow... freezing all the way.. but loving it.. ok the picture shown is not really shawn and I but this is how we look... (really im serious)

Goals... obtainable or fantasy???

I want to hear what everyones goals are.. and if you think they are obtainable.......
Ive lost 40lbs and will be happy to loose another 10 this year. (and another 10 for the next few years.) I am doing the sloooooooow method but I am excercising several times a week and........ still eating.. so that is why its sloow.. but hey im happy... Healthy... my cholestrol is low.. my everything is low.. so all is well.. Ok I am not running a full marathon at the end of the month like my hubby... nor will I ever. ITs just not something I want to do.. and with wobbly ankles.. walking is trial some days.. (ohh but ive been skiing tooo that is something i didnt think id ever do again... and frankly Im awsome... ok im a little bit of a bragger when it comes to skiing but I didnt forget anything after 22 years of not skiing best 40+1 year old on the hill)
ok my second goal is to finish the medical billing and coding program I started last month.. obtainable yes.. and its a 12 month program...studying daily... tests....written essays.. and lots of brain power.. but I will finish it.. don't know if i'll ever use it but it will be a skill and hey training is free..
ok last lifelong goal.... To be a better person.. a happy person.. obtainable yes... .. this will include being a better mom...wife...friend... to serve....serve... and serve some more. I cant tell you what makes me happier than service. I think anyone who is suffering depression, low self esteem, etc should do some service...it really puts your troubles into perspective..

Frisbys on the Run

Well We made a mad dash up to see to see my parents and to get Karch and Kennas Braces worked on. I had the New sisters social for our ward here on thursday night.. We have 40 new sisters that have moved into the ward since last march. We had about 10-12 show up I should of counted exactly but that is good enough.. The ones that want to get to know who else is new and get to know the sisters a little bit better. Then we got up early and headed for our 11 hour drive over to rexburg Idaho. We had great roads and that was just about the best surprize..lol everytime we go we are in some kind of freak now storm and have spent way to many night along the trail... we have spent time in a church basement that is a homeless shelter, national guard armory, the van along with thousands of stopped vehicles just along the freeway.. and various hotels.. So to our surprise nothing.. the roads were clear.... a great trip !!! Im home and Im worn out..

Missionary moment

Well Elder Porter is not mad at me... he said he just couldn't understand why i did it.... I did Deliver the fixed shirts to him on friday even though he didnt see them till today.. The shirts i think look practically store bought I did a better job than I thought. I told him a few years from now he was going to see the humor in it. I see the humor in it right now.. hee hee

Elders...Elders...Elders

ok so for the Elder who just wanted a few changes on his shirts

-cut sleeves off one shirt.

-make pockets for both shirts out of cut off sleeves

-sew down placket on the shirt where the button wholes are

-then the final thing add length to the shirt ...

well I worked hard and this is what my finished product looked like.. great Elder to model his new shirt.
